Maha Shivaratree 2019

Maha Shivaratree 2019 was celebrated on Monday 4th March. The devotees from all parts of the island converged towards the sacred lake to bring back the holy Ganga water to pour on the shivling for the great night of Shiva.

A panoply of colorful kanwars, big and small can always be seen at Grand Bassin during the Maha Shivaratree festival, a great delight for the eyes.

Located near the village of Sebastopol, lies a beautiful reserve in the East of Mauritius named "Domaine de l'étoile". Extended over 1200 hectares, it is considered to be the biggest private reserve of the Island. The best phrase heard from visitors to describe the place is "Dream-like  panorama".You will surely be mesmerised by the beauty of the flora and fauna, the serpentine track roads going to the top of the mountain and the views.The pictures will surely prove it.
