Floods in Mauritius

Mauritius has been subject to heavy rain for the past week. As a matter of consequence, there has been heavy floods causing massive damages in several parts of the island.

Maha Shivaratree 2018

Maha Shivaratree 2018 was celebrated on Tuesday 13th February. The devotees from all parts of the island converged towards the sacred lake to bring back the holy Ganga water to pour on the shivling for the great night of Shiva. A panoply of colorful kanwars, big and small can always be seen at Grand Bassin during the Maha Shivaratree festival, a great delight for the eyes.
